Storage and Ripening Tips: Store firm avocados at room temperature on counter top out of direct sun light to ripen. To slow down the ripening process, store your avocado in the refrigerator. To accelerate ripening, place avocados in a paper bag with a banana or apple. Avocados are ready to eat when they yield to gentle hand pressure. Be sure to check for ripeness daily so the avocados don't over ripen! Once ripe, avocados can be placed in the refrigerator for several days to keep them fresh.
