This product may be used in the same treatment program as most commonly used pool chemicals, but should not be mixed with any foreign material such as other water treatment chemicals. Pools with heavy growth of algae should be cleaned prior to using this product. Initial dose: add 8 ounces of this product to 10,000 gallons of pool water when filling the pool at the beginning of the season. Maintenance dose: add 2 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water at 3-5 day intervals. If high temperatures prevail or the pool has an unusually heavy use, add maintenance dose more frequently. If make up water is added at the rate of more than 10% of pool capacity per week, add 2 ounces per 10,000 gallons of fresh make up water added per week. Visible algae: if the pool has slight visible algae growth, treat with "initial dose" as above. Vacuum pool after 24 hours to remove algae debris. If visible algae is still present or re-appears, repeat this treatment as necessary. When pool is free of visible algae, use the "maintenance dose" as above. Winterizing: when swimming season is over, add 8 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water. This dosage helps to provide a measure of control of algae growth during the winter months and aids the servicing of the pool before it is returned to use the following summer.
