Shake well. Instructions: A ratio of 1 cup rock salt to 8 cups of crushed ice will provide a good freezing condition. Add the salt and ice in layers around the canister as it is running. Adding more salt will make it freeze faster. It should take at least 20 minutes to freeze a batch of ice cream. After freezing is completed, remove dasher or paddles. Add extra salt to ice solution and cover. Let stand at least 10 minutes to start hardening. Any left over may be stored in your deep freeze; it will be very hard later. A few seconds in the microwave will make it fine for dipping. To open. Push up.
