History of Wye River red clam chowder: Our chowder starts with the most tender, succulent surf clam that we harvest daily in the water area of ocean city, Maryland. As children we would scour the surf at low tide choosing the ones as small as sand dollars to ensure their tender flavor. We add the juiciest most tender tomatoes ever grown here on the shore that give our chowder that taste sensation we are known for.
