This product has a time release delivery system that provides high potency iron over time. This may reduce gastrointestinal (GI) side effects (nausea and abdominal discomfort) common with iron supplementation. This product is an iron supplement for iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia when the need for such supplementation has been determined by a physician. Oral iron supplements may interfere with absorption of certain oral antibiotics (e.g., tetracycline) and other medications. These products should not be taken within two hours of each other. Occasional gastrointestinal discomfort (such as nausea) may be minimized by taking with meals. Iron products may occasionally cause bowel effects, such as constipation.
