Pastene Artichoke Hearts Quartered


 

Directions

Pastene artichokes in brine. Pastene hearts of artichoke are delicious as hors d'oeuvres, or as a salad, with french dressing. Italians add them to their "fritto misto" prepared as follows: Drain the liquid from the quartered artichokes. Dip in slightly salted beaten egg, then in a mixture of Pastene bread crumbs, a little Pastene grated parmesan cheese, a little chopped parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Fry breaded artichoke quartered in Pastene pure olive oil and serve hot.
