Hot & Ready in Minutes - Stovetop: 1. Gradually add cream of wheat hot cereal to boiling water or milk, stirring constantly to prevent boil-over. 2. Return to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 30 seconds, stirring frequently. 3. Remove from heat; Let stand 2 minutes. Stir, remove carefully, cool slightly and serve. Maple Brown Sugar Cream of Wheat; 1 serving: 3-1/2 tbsp; 2 servings:1/2 cup; 4 servings 3/4 cup+2 tbsp. Water or Milk; 1 serving: 3/4 cup; 2 servings: 1-1/2 cups; 4 servings 3 cup. Microwave (1 serving) 1. Stir together 3-1/2 tbsp. Cream of wheat hot cereal, 3/4 cup water or milk in 1-qt. Microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave high 1 to 1-1/2 minutes. 3. Stir 1 minute, remove carefully, cool slightly and serve. Tips: for thinner cereal, add 1-2 tbsp. More water or milk. For thicker cereal, let stand a few minutes. Caution: bowl will be hot; carefully remove from microwave using pot holders. Note: microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Overheating can cause cereal to boil over. Open.
