Cooking Instructions: Stove Top: 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a 3-quart saucepan. Add 1 Tablespoon of butter, margarine, or oil (if desired). 2. Bring contents to a boil. 3. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes or until water is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes covered before serving. Microwave: 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a 2-quart microwave-safe dish. Add 1 Tablespoon of butter, margarine, or oil (if desired). 2. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15-20 minutes. 3. Remove from microwave and let stand for 5 minutes covered before serving. Microwaves may vary. Rice Cooker: 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water. Add 1 Tablespoon of butter, margarine, or oil (if desired). 2. Turn on the rice cooker, and if needed select the correct cooking instruction per your rice cooker (check manual). 3. Fluff with a fork and serve. To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or after cooking.
