Instructions: 1. Prepare Surface: Clean the damaged area by removing all dust and loose debris inside and outside of wall, use a damp (not wet) towel if needed. Allow drywall paper to fully dry before applying repair plate. Adhesive tape will not adhere to the white gypsum. Sand the outside paper edge of the hole. Surface of the wall should be smooth. 2. Apply Self-Adhesive Plate: Remove white backing from both strips of double-sided tape. Curl repair plate and place inside damaged wall. Carefully center repair plate in damaged area and pull straps to secure tape. Hold for 30 seconds using firm pressure. Once secured, push strap through the center hole. Place supplied tape over center hole. Trim to fit as necessary. 3. Apply Compound: Using putty knife, fill damaged area with fiber reinforced compound. To smooth, wet blade of knife with water, go slowly, and use the knife at a low angle. Slightly overfill hole to allow for flat sanding. 4. Finish the Surface: Once surface is completely dry, sand flat to finish. For a 5 hole, it is recommended to let dry overnight. Additional coat(s) of compound can be applied, before or after priming if necessary. Apply a primer/sealer and paint according to manufacturer's instructions.
