For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions refrigerate leftovers. For half box you will need: 1-1/4 cups hot water, 1-3/4 cups milk. 1 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey (or) 1 lb ground Italian sausage. (1) Cook: cook ground meat in 10-inches skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, breaking up and stirring. Drain; return cooked meat to skillet. (2) Stir: stir in hot water, milk, 1 pouch sauce mix and 1 pouch pasta. Heat to boiling. (3) Simmer: reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. If necessary, uncover and cook, while stirring, an additional 1 to 3 minutes to desired consistency. For entire box, make as directed above-except double all ingredients, use 5-quart stockpot or 12-inch skillet, and cook ground meat 8 to 10 minutes. Try with ground sausage instead of ground beef. Add ground beef. Add your own twist! Turn the flavor up, stir in shredded mozzarella cheese and diced tomatoes just before serving. Garnish with basil.
