Before First Use: Do not use to grind salt. Unscrew the nut, remove the upper part of the mill (knob) to open the grinder. Fill the pepper grinder with fresh peppercorns. Replace the knob of the mill, attach the screw and tighten. Use: Hold the pepper grinder in one hand several inches above the food you wish to season. Turn the knob of the pepper grinder in any direction with one hand while holding it with the other hand to grind the peppercorn. As you turn the pepper grinder, the ground pepper will fall from the bottom of the pepper grinder onto the food below. Stop twisting when you are satisfied with the amount of pepper you have ground. Wipe with damp cloth only, Do not soak.
