Step one: Vacuum carpets thoroughly before cleaning. Shake well and generously spray on heavily soiled areas. Step two: Allow foam to penetrate. Clean carpets following Rug Doctor machine instructions. Before using: Apply a small amount in a hidden area. Blot using a white paper towel. After one minute, make sure no color has transferred to the paper towel.
