Cooking Directions on Stove: 1. In a medium saucepan bring water or broth to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: Rice: 1/2 cup; Water: 1-1/2 cup cups; Yield: 2 cups; Servings (1 cup cooked): 2; Rice: 1 cup; Water: 3 cups; Yield: 4 cups; Servings (1 cup cooked): 4). Rice: this bag; Water: 7-1/2 cups; Yield: 10 cups; Servings (1 cup cooked): 10). 2. Stir in rice, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 55 minutes (Add butter, olive oil or salt if desired). 3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Microwave Directions (It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate): 1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1 cup wild rice and 2-1/2 cups water or broth. 2. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 30-35 minutes. Let stand for 10-15 minutes. Serve. It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared In the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary.
