Directions

Stove top cooking instructions: Step 1 combine rice, water and salt (optional) in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Step 2 Cover, reduce heat to a low simmer and cook until water is absorbed (approx. 35 minutes). Step 3 Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. For softer rice, use more water and increase cooking time. For firmer rice, use less water and decrease cooking time. Servings (about 2/3 cup, cooked) 2-3; Rice (dry) 1/2 cup; Water 1 1/3 cup; Salt (if desired) 1/2 tsp; Butter or oil (if desired) 1/2 Tbsp. Servings (about 2/3 cup, cooked) 5-6; Rice (dry) 1 1/3 cup; Water 2 1/2 cup; Salt (if desired) 1 tsp; Butter or oil (if desired) 1/2 Tbsp. Servings (about 2/3 cup, cooked) 8-9; Rice (dry) 1 1/2 cup; Water 3 1/3 cup; Salt (if desired) 1 1/2 tsp; Butter or oil (if desired) 1 1/2 Tbsp. Store in a cool, dry place. Batch before batch number.
