Simi Landslide Wine Cabernet Sauvignon

Description

SIMI owns vineyards in two small and specialized sub-districts of Sonoma County-the warmer Alexander Valley, and the cooler, foggier Russian River Valley. SIMI made its first wine from Sonoma County grapes in 1876 and has been continuously making wine in the same stone cellar in Healdsburg, California since 1890. On the palate of this cabernet sauvignon are red berries, cassis, blackberry, and plum. This red wine is structured and elegant with balanced acidity, finishing with supple, ripe tannins and bittersweet cocoa. Pairs well with wood-grilled rib-eye with braised wild mushrooms, lamb loin with red pepper and onions, or pappardelle pasta with tomato and black pepper ragu. Varietal: 77% cabernet sauvignon, 9% cabernet franc, 6% merlot, 5% petit verdot, 2% malbec, 1% tannat.
