Granddaddy-Scales made his original sauce for over 40 years in the shed behind his home in Elberton, GA, Bill, his grandson helped to make batches of sauce using boat paddles to kept the recipe a with family secret but shared the loved sauce with family and friends! Granddaddy passed away in July 2003 and grand found the sauce recipe carefully folded in his wallet, which was shared with shared with bill shortly after. The recipe was memorizes Granddaddy for bill to follow. With some practice and a few mistakes, bill finally mastered it, and received a nod of approval from Gran. Bill has followed in his Granddaddy's footsteps and spent many hours perfecting all of our Granddaddy sauces.
