Feeding Guidelines: Weight of cat - 5-9 lbs. Daily feeding amount - 1/2 to 3/4 cup. Weight of cat - 10-14 lbs. Daily feeding amount - 3/4 to 1 cup. Use a standard 8 ounce measuring cup. 1 cup = 4.2 oz. by weight. Your cat's requirement may vary from this feeding guide due to age, breed, environment, activity level, and body condition. Adjust food quantities as necessary to maintain optimal weight. Ask your veterinarian if you're unsure about how much to feed your cat. Nursing cats may require 2-4 times the amount of adult cats. Feed as much food as required to maintain the female's ideal body condition. If you're feeding Newman's Own Adult Cat Food for the first time, you should gradually adjust your cat's current diet to avoid stomach upset. Simply mix 1/4 part Newman's Own Adult Cat Food with your current cat food for 2-3 days. Gradually increase Newman's Own Adult Cat Food and decrease your current cat food until you are feeding all Newman's Own Adult Cat Food. This transition should occur over 2-3 weeks. Keep fresh clean drinking water available at all times.
