Instructions for Use: Insert probe of thermometer into thicket part of meat. Ensure the tip is not touching bone, gristle, cooking pan or is inserted in the cavity. For accurate temperature measurement, the probe must be inserted the full length of the sensing area (usually 2 to 3 inches). If measuring the temperature of thin food, such as a hamburger patty or boneless chicken breast, the probe should be inserted through the side of the food as that the entire sensing area is positioned through the center of the food. Care: Clean the thermometer and probe with a damp cloth after each use. Not dishwasher safe. USDA Recommended Internal Temperatures (These temperatures are recommended for consumer cooking. They are not intended for processing, institutional, or food service preparation. Food service professionals should consult their state or local food code).
