Cooking Directions; Rinse rice; boil water; simmer; serve. For Firmer rice, use less water and simmer for a shorter amount of time. For softer rice, use more water and simmer for a longer amount of time. 1. Rinse thoroughly before cooking. 2. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp. butter or oil and a pinch of salt (optional). 3. Stir in 1 cup rice. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 14-16 minutes or until water is absorbed. Do not lift lid while cooking; steam cooks rice. 4. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for about 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. Serve. Note; 1 cup dry rice = 3-3 3/4 cups cooked rice. Store in a cool, dry place. For optimal freshness, refrigerate after opening. Pull to open.
