USDA Cooking Temperatures (Visit our website for a full list of safe cooking temperatures): Rare: 140 (The USDA does not recommend Rare 140 as a safe cooking temperature). Med R: 145 degrees; 145 degrees. Med: 160 degrees' 160 degrees. W done: 170 degrees; 170 degrees; 165 degrees; 145 degrees. Temperature Range: 32 degrees F to 428 degrees F/degrees C to 250 degrees C. Choose from preset USDA cooking temperatures or customize temperature selections based on your personal preference. Monitor exact temperatures of meat, poultry or other temperature sensitive foods without opening the oven door. Alarm signals when programmed temperature is reached. Includes stand up display or magnet to attach to oven door. Note: A plastic strip used to prevent battery drain during shipping. Pull gently to remove before use. There is also a cling over the digital display, remove before use. Battery Replacement: Open the battery door and remove old batteries, replace with new batteries following the + polarity symbol. Replace the battery cover. Cleaning and Care: Handwash only. Do not immerse in water or put in dishwasher. Clean probe portion only with hot, soapy water and wipe cord and casing with damp cloth.
