Contains bioengineered ingredients. Paris 1600s. USA 1845. Hand crafted chocolatiers. Our story begins in 1668, Paris, France. As you walk down the boulevards of Paris on a beautiful spring day, flowers are in full bloom, the sky is blue, and patrons are sipping coffee and eating French confections at the local cafe - all dressed in fashionable outfits. When you open the Bissinger's box, the aroma of our European chocolate hits you right away while the beauty of the hand-decorated confections is right in front of your eyes. All of your senses are enhanced as you can't wait to taste your first piece! For the first two centuries of our 350 year history, Bissinger's primary responsibility was crafting French confections for the Palace of Versailles. From King Louis XIV in 1668 to Napoleon Bonaparte in 1848, Bissinger's was appointed Confiseur Imperial (Confectioner to the Empire) by the King of France. In the late 1800s, the Bissinger's family move the business to the United States of America accompanied by their master candy maker and secret recipe book. Many of the recipes used to make our confections date back over a century, passed down from master candy maker to master candy maker. We invite you to explore this new collection as it represents Bissinger's roots - past, present & future. - The Abel Family. Handmade by Bissinger's. www.bissingers.com. 800.325.8881.
