134a Refrigerant 12 oz CYLINDER

Directions

Installation Instructions: 1. Locate the vehicle's low side service port. This port will often have a plastic cap and is located between the a/c compressor and the evaporator. It is the only port to which the Avalanche recharge hose (Part No. 402 or similar hose assembly) will connect. While most recharge hose's follow the same installation instruction, Avalanche uses part number AVL-402 as guideline. Always follow the instructions from the device you're using to charge. 2. Start the engine and turn air conditioner to maximum cool and maximum air flow. 3. Screw the recharge hose to the top of the Avalanche can. Connect the quick connect coupler on the other end of the hose to the low side service port by pulling the connector ring back as you push the fitting onto the service port. Make sure it locks into place. 4. Hold can upright and turn the handle of the recharge hose clockwise to pierce the can. Turn handle counter clockwise to release refrigerant (turning clockwise will re-seal the can). 5. Add refrigerant while rotating and shaking the can from a 12 o'clock position to the 3 o'clock position. If your system is very low in refrigerant this process can take several minutes. Check vent temperature often. 6. When you have the correct fill and your air conditioner is blowing cold, turn the handle of the recharge hose clockwise to re-seal the can. Remove the quick connect coupler from the service port and store can in a cool dry place or discard according to state or local guidelines. If can is not empty, keep hose on can. When empty the hose can be detached and re-used. Read cautions on back.
