Notes: Plum. Pumpernickel. Chocolate Pretzels. Decaffeinated. Ethically sourced. Sustainable coffee. Colombia Decaf: This Excelso-grade coffee from the Huila region of Colombia is decaffeinated using what is called an EA process. EA is ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring ester commonly found in bananas and produced by fermenting sugars. The coffee beans soak in a solution of ethyl acetate and water, where the EA extracts the caffeine over time while preserving the beans' inherent flavors. We value decaf beans so highly and we're very proud to be serving this one, with balance and complexity representative of our favorite Colombian coffees. Region: Various Small-holder farms. Elevation: 1200-2000 meters. Processing: Washed. Decaf Method: Mountain Water Process. saltcitycoffee.com. Country: Colombia.
