Directions

Cooking Instructions: 1 serving; 1 cup water; 1/2 cup oats; dash of salt (optional). 2 servings; 1-3/4 cups water; 1 cup oats; 1/8 tsp salt (optional). 3 servings; 2-1/2 cups water; 1-1/2 cups oats; 1/8 tsp salt (optional). Stove Top: 1. Boil water and salt. 2. Stir in oats. 3. Cook about 1 minute over medium heat; stir occasionally. 4. Allow to stand for 1-2 minutes to thicken. Microwave (one serving): 1. Combine water, salt and oats in a medium microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes; stir before serving. 3. Allow to stand for 1-2 minutes to thicken. Microwave ovens vary.
