Cascadian Home Farm grows 10 different varieties of blueberries. Strawberries are one of the only fruits that wear their seeds on the outside! The little balls that cluster together to make raspberry fruits are called - "Drupelets". The Skagit river that flows past Cascadian Farm is habitat for steelhead trout and 5 species of wild salmon: Chinook, Coho, Chum, Pink and Sockeye. (Steelheads are rainbow trout that spend time in the ocean and return to the river!). Why kids eat organic.
