Before cooking, please read inside label for helpful tips. Ingredients needed: 1 chopped bell pepper, 3/4 cup chopped onions, 1/2 cup chopped celery, 1 to 2 cups chopped tomatoes, 1/8 tot/3 cup vegetable oil or ham hock. Serve as a soup or on rice. Stove top: (1) Pick through and wash beans. (2) Add 4-1/2 cups water, boil 1 minute, turn off heat, let stand 1 hour. (3) Boil gently 1 hour or until beans are soft. Stir occasionally and add water as desired. (4) Add ingredients and seasoning (to taste). (5) Cook 1 hour or until done and desired thickness is obtained. Crock pot: (1) Pick through and wash beans. (2) Soak overnight in cool water. (3) Drain. Put beans in crock pot with 2-1/2 cups water, ingredients, and seasonings (to taste). (4) Cook until done per crock pot instructions.
