Preparation Instructions: 1. Defrost dough in refrigerator. 2. Spread dough out slightly using a roller. Place 1-2 tsp. of filling in center of dough. Turn dough over to form a half circle and close side by pressing with a fork. (Optional: Use two discs to form a round empanada. Press with fork all around.) 3. Fry pastry in medium hot oil until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Discos can be prepared with chicken, ground meat, sausage or ham. Goya Discos are also delicious as dessert pastries. For a Caribbean treat, fill with guava paste. Keep frozen. Refrigerate after defrosting.
