Directions

Bread Machine Directions: 1. Mix 1 3/4 cups of hot water, oil and rice in the bread machine pan and allow to sit for 30 minutes. 2. Remove yeast packet, pour remaining contents into bread machine pan. 3. Sprinkle yeast over top of mix, or put into yeast dispenser if available. Use whole wheat setting. Conventional Oven Directions: 1. Mix wild rice, 1 cup of very warm water and oil. Allow to sit for 30 minutes. 2. In large bowl combine 3/4 cup of very warm water and the yeast. Whisk together until the yeast dissolves. Add the soaked rice mixture, stir. Then add bread mix, stir. 3. Knead on floured board for a few minutes. Shape into one loaf or two baguettes and cover with an oiled plastic wrap. Allow to rise for 2 hours at room temperature. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
