Use just about foods baking powder in any recipe calling for baking powder. Use dry utensil while using it. Ideal for: breads; cakes; muffins; pizza crust; cookies. Old fashioned biscuits. Ingredients: 2 cups just about foods organic all-purpose flour; 1 tbsp just about foods baking powder; 1 tsp salt; 2 tbsp sugar; 3/4 cup buttermilk; 6 tbsp cold butter; 1 egg. Preparation Method: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Cut the butter into cubes and keep it in the freezer until needed, approximately 5-10 minutes. In a large bowl whisk the dry ingredients and add the freezed butter. With a dough cutter or two butter knives, incorporate the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture looks like wet sand. Pour in the buttermilk, with a wooden spoon mix until a sticky dough is form. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop the dough into a lined baking sheet and brush the top of the biscuits with milk. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Take out the biscuits from the oven and serve them warm. Store in a cool dry place.
