Vanilla Cookies: 36 cookies. Ingredients: 2 cups just about foods corn starch; 1 cup refined sugar; 1 egg; 3/4 cup butter at room temperature; 1/2 tsp vanilla extract; a pinch of salt. Preparation Method: In a medium bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Then, add sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Add the egg and the corn starch and mix until a soft dough is formed Wrap the dough with plastic film and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before forming the cookies. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop portions of approximately 1 tablespoon of dough and place them on the cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Press the dough balls with a fork to make a groove pattern and flatten the cookie. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until slightly golden on the bottom.
