Directions

Microwave Directions: 1. Empty packet into a deep microwave-safe bowl. 2. Add up to 2/3 cup of water, stir. Oatmeal must be prepared with water (To avoid boilover, refrain from adding milk until after cooking). 3. Adjust microwave setting to 50% power. 4. Microwave for 2-1/2 minutes to 3 minutes (Instructions are based on 1100 watt microwave oven. Additional cook time required for lower wattage microwaves. See bottom panel). Caution: bowl will be hot. 5. Stir well and wait 2-3 minutes for oatmeal to thicken before serving. Alternative Stove Top Preparation: 1. Boil up to 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. 2. Stir in contents of pouch, and reduce heat to medium. 3. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes. 4. Remove oatmeal from saucepan, allowing 2-3 minutes to cool and thicken.
