For best cleaning results: For Standard Washing Machines: Sort clothes, select temperature, and begin filling washer with water. Check garment label for special instructions. Measure and add detergent to washer, then add clothes. Medium loads fill to bottom of line 2. Large or heavily soiled loads fill to line 3. For High Efficiency (HE) Washing Machines: Measure and add detergent to washer, then add clothes. Begin wash cycle. Medium loads fill to bottom of line 2. Large or heavily soiled loads fill to line 3. For Tough Stains: 1. Test garment to make sure colors won't run: dip a hidden corner of fabric in detergent and hot water. Rinse and let dry. Proceed if color is unchanged. 2: Add 1 full scoop of detergent to washer with warm water, soak garment overnight, drain machine, then launder as usual, or wet stain, apply a paste of detergent and water, rub on stain, then launder as usual.
