Family tradition, since 1926. Medium dark. Compatible with all Keurig Kcup machines. Our Costa Rican coffees are largely of the Caturra and Catei varieties, both derived from the arabica bean. In 1989, a law was passed that prohibited the cultivation of robusta beans, which would affect the quality of the final product. Our Costa Rican coffees have intense aromas of brown sugar, and tasting notes of citrus and tropical fruits, with a round body and bright acidity. Thanks for supporting our family owned business! Our History: Our roots in the coffee industry date back to the 1920's in Spain by Carlos de Aldecoa Fernandez (Ronda, Malaga 1903) He later expanded operations to the fertile lands of Veracruz, Mexico where the business grew to include coffee farms, roasting, retailing and decaffeination. After significant growth and demand, the operations moved to Houston, Texas where Aldecoa produces its coffee. Our artful roasting process has been passed down for 4 generations since our first batch of coffee in Spain. The de Aldecoa family sources, roasts, and packs coffee from the world's most exotic origins to bring you a superb coffee experience.
