To Prepare a Good Mate: 1. Fill 3/4 of the gourd with yerba mate. 2. Cover the top with your hand and shake it upside down to mix. 3. Tilt the yerba to a 45 degrees angle and add a little warm water. 4. Place the straw (bombilla) in the lower part and do not move it. Always pour water at 75 degrees C (167 degrees F) for flavorful and long-lasting mates.
