Directions
Helpful hints: 1.1 tablespoon Hodgson Mills Corn Starch = 2 tbsp. flour. Use for thickening gravies, sauces, soups and stews. When your recipe calls for flour, use instead 1/2 as much corn starch - the results will be creamier, too. 2. To thicken hot liquids, mix corn starch with a little cold liquid until smooth before adding to hot liquid. 3. For lower calorie gravies, pour off all fat from pan drippings, leaving the crusty brown particles. For liquid (replacing fat) use fat-free broth or water. 4. Hodgson Mill® Corn Starch mixes more easily with cold water than flour will. Your gravies will always be satiny smooth.
