Touch activated: The bird is touch activated and will light up and chirp while moving. To remove and replace batteries: The battery compartment is located on the underside of the twinkle tweet. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to open the battery cover. Remove the old batteries and recycle or dispose of them properly. Install batteries* into the base matching polarity as marked inside the compartment. Replace the battery cover and screw to secure. *Note: use alkaline batteries for better performance. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or (nickle-cadmium) rechargeable batteries.
