Directions for use: it is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read this label: read this entire label and follow all use directions and use precautions. Use only for the sites, pests, and application methods described on this label. Background information: Tomcat ant killer gel bait is a ready to use gel bait formulation that is very effective in controlling common ant* species that infest areas in and around the perimeter of homes and other residential structures, including argentine, big-headed, carpenter, cornfield, crazy, field, ghost, honey, little black, odorous-house, pavement, pyramid, rover, thief, and white-footed. Tomcat ant killer gel bait contains the active ingredient, indoxacarb, a powerful non-repellent insecticide. * Excludes fire, harvester, and pharaoh ants. Before you start: Do not treat areas that are easily accessible to children and pets. Do not apply Tomcat ant killer gel bait to surfaces recently treated with residual sprays. Do not apply residual spray to surfaces that Tomcat ant killer gel bait is applied to. Do not apply in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock. Do not apply to surfaces that food contacts. Do not allow open foods to contact gel material. Gel deposits may be cleaned up by using damp paper towel or rag while still wet, or if dried, use putty knife to scrape and discard in trash. Discard bait trays in trash after use. How to works: the handy syringe applicator and bait trays make it easy to apply small placements of gel. More placements allows scout ants to find the bait faster. It also allows multiple ant colonies to feed on different baits without fighting. Increasing access to the bait increases the effectiveness of the bait. Follow the application directions in the how much to apply section for bait placement and application amount. Where to use: Indoors: Kitchens/Bathrooms/Basements/Garages/Laundry Rooms. May be used indoors applied as a crack and crevice or spot treatment in single and multi-family residential buildings. Apply to areas frequented by ants such as openings leading into voids and hollow spaces in floors, walls, ceilings, equipment legs and bases, around plumbing pipes, doors and windows, and behind and under appliances, and cabinets where ants/ant trails are typically seen. Outdoors: Thoroughly inspect around the exterior of the structure for areas where ants may be gaining access. To help remove access from external entry points, place applications of Tomcat ant killer gel bait as a spot or thin bead to pest entry sites such as along windows, doors and utility entry points. Place Tomcat ant killer gel bait in areas that will help reduce human contact. How much to apply: Apply approximately 0.1 to 1.0 gram or 1/8 to 1/4 inch in diameter spots of Tomcat ant killer gel bait. Apply lines of ant gel that are approximately 1/8 inch wide in a bait tray (approximately 2 inches long). Two filled bait trays may be used for highly active foraging trails of ants. A typical ant infestation may require as little as 1 to 15 grams of Tomcat ant killer gel bait whereas heavy ant infestations in a large structure may require the use of more than 15 grams of bait. Inspect placements of Tomcat ant killer gel bait periodically and apply fresh gel bait as needed. How to apply: 1. Remove cap from syringe tip. 2. Place syringe tip at surface to be treated or in a bait tray. 3. Apply light pressure to plastic syringe plunger. 4. Lift syringe tip from surface and replace cap. Storage and disposal: do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal. Pesticide storage: store in a cool, dry place inaccessible to children and pets. Pesticide disposal: wastes resulting from the use of this product must be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. Container handling: nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill the gel bait dispenser. Place empty bait dispensers in trash, offer for recycling, or call your local solid waste authority for disposal instructions. Simply discard bait trays after use. Using the bait trays: Break off a tray along perforated scores. Apply approximately 1 gram of gel to tray. Place in areas of activity. How it works: Tomcat ant killer gel bait contains the active ingredient, indoxacarb. As ants* consume the bait, it is metabolically activated into a very effective insecticide capable of killing ants* indoors or out.
