Stir paint before using. These paints thin easily with water and to a permanent, waterproof finish. Clean up with soap and water before drying. You can use Sargent Art Acrylic Paints on a variety of surfaces including paper, wood, metal and fabric.

Here's a great project from Sargent Art painting using natural impressions! This is a great project for learning about designs in nature. You can use this technique to produce beautiful natural patterns and works of art with ease! Spread a thin, even layer of paint on any natural surface with a pattern. (Look for patterns that will make interesting designs like a leaf with veins; a fish with scales; an interesting rock or a feather of a bird.) Once you paint the surface of the pattern, quickly and gently press the painted surface against a piece of paper. Be careful not to smudge or smear the paint while you're pressing. This will distort your pattern. Now carefully peel the natural pattern away from the surface of your paper to reveal a beautiful print from nature. You can add more pattern images and blend different colors to enhance your artwork. Be creative, but remember acrylic paints dry quickly, so be careful where you spread them. Mixing New Acrylic Paint Colors: Sargent Art Acrylic Paints mix together well to create new colors. Lavender - Mix a small amount of blue & red with white. Lime Green - Mix a small amount of blue with yellow. Add white to lighten. Aquamarine Blue - Mix green & blue. Adjust to your color sense.
