Recipe Size: 1 Cup: 3 tbsp Brown Gravy Mix: 1 cup hot water. Recipe Size: 1 Quart: 3/4 cup Brown Gravy Mix; 1 qt. hot water. Recipe Size: 1 Gallon: 3 cups Brown Gravy Mix; 1 gal hot water. 1. Stir water gradually into Gravy Mix with whisk in small saucepan. 2. Stirring frequently, cook on medium heat until gravy comes to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. (Gravy will thicken upon standing.) Serve over mashed potatoes, beef, meat loaf, hot meat sandwiches or noodles. Microwave Directions (1 cup recipe): Stir water into Gravy Mix in 1-1/2-quart microwavable bowl. Microwave on high 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute. Microwave ovens vary; cook time is approximate. Must be cooked for food safety.
