Oatmeal Stove Top Cooking Directions: Servings: 1: 1 cup water; dash of salt (optional); 1/2 cup oats. 2: 2 cups water; 1/8-1/4 tsp of salt (optional); 1 cup oats. 3: 3 cups water; 1/8-1/4 tsp of salt (optional); 1-1/2 cups oats. 4: 4 cups water; 1/4-1/2 tsp of salt (optional); 2 cups oats. 1. Bring water and salt to boil. 2. Slowly stir in oats. 3. Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook uncovered for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 2-3 minutes.
