Directions

Makes 9 delicious servings. Basic Directions for Matzo Ball Soup: 1. Add contents of Soup Mix (small envelope) to 2 1/2 qts. of boiling water. 2. Break two eggs in a separate bowl. 3. Add 1/4 cup cooking oil to the eggs. Mix oil and eggs with a fork. Do not whip. 4. Add contents of Matzo Ball Mix (large bag) to the oil and eggs. Mix well. 5. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes. With wet or oily hands, form small balls the size of walnuts. 6. Add matzo balls to the boiling soup. Cook for 20 minutes on low heat with cover on pot. Serving Suggestions: For a delicious side dish prepare matzo balls as directed. Remove matzo balls from soup and let stand until cool. Then deep fry or pan fry until golden brown. Serve piping hot.
