Oven & Microwave Use: Always pre-heat the oven before use. Some ovens use direct flame from the broiler or uneven beating for the pre-heat cycle, which is not recommended for borosilicate glass. When using Gloss Container directly from freezer to oven, do not set oven above 450 degrees F. Do not microwave empty Glass Container. Never use Smart Seal lid in the oven. Always unlatch all tabs on Smart Seal lid before using in the microwave. Borosilicate glass is durable and able to with stand temperature changes, so it can go from a 0 degree F 618 degrees C) freezer to a pre- heated 450 degrees F (232 degree C) even without shattering. However, like all glass, it's still breakable, and should always be handled with core. While perfect for putting o rowing dish in the oven, putting o hot Glass Container immediately into cold water may still cause the glass to crack or break. Dropping or hitting it can cause it to break, and you should always inspect your Container for chips or crocks before using.
