Never eat dried mushrooms raw: To reconstitute: soak for 30 minutes in warm water, stock or wine. Strain reconstituted mushrooms through a coffee filter, reserving flavorful liquid. Gently rinse mushrooms under cold water and pat dry. Reserved liquid may be added to recipes as needed to achieve desired intensity of mushroom flavor.
