Directions

Keep frozen. Microwavable. Place in microwave this side up. Cooking instructions: Microwave steaming: Do not pierce, puncture or open the steambag. Gently massage the package to break up the vegetables for even heat penetration. Place the unopened steambag in your microwave, directions side up, and cook on high for 4 - 5 minutes*. This bag will begin to inflate during the cooking process, special vents will allow the steam to escape. Let stand for 1 minute. Carefully handle bag at corners while taking out of the microwave. Open carefully to allow steam to escape and pour contents from pouch; drain if needed. Season to taste. Caution: the bag will be hot. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Simmer: Place frozen green peas in 1/2 cup boiling water (salted if desired). Cover, bring to second boil and cook gently until tender (4-5 minutes). Avoid overcooking. Drain, season to taste and serve. To store: Keep package frozen until ready to use. If thawed, cook promptly. Store at 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C) or lower. Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed.
