Directions
All you need: 1 lb. ground beef, turkey or chicken. 1 cup water. 1 can (19 oz.) red kidney beans. 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes*. *Substitute 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce for diced tomatoes. Makes 5 cups chili: 1. In 12-inch skillet, brown ground beef; drain, if desired. 2. Stir in spices & seasonings and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. 3. Serve, if desired, with shredded cheddar cheese and/or sour cream. Chicken & black bean chili. Prepare as directed above substituting ground chicken for ground beef and 1 can (15 oz.) black beans for kidney beans. Serve, if desired, with shredded cheddar cheese and/or sour cream.
