Product Details
Limited Edition Natural flavor. No artificial flavors. 120 calories per bottle. A late one. The original mocktail. During Prohibition cocktails were out and mocktails or tonics were in. Most Kentuckians in the 1920s drank Ale-8 as a refreshing, alcohol-free alternative. The more daring ones chose Ale-8 as the mixer of choice to drastically improve the taste of bootleg spirits. For generations, folks have routinely made Ale-8 a part of their celebrations. We invite you to try one of our favorite Prohibition Era mocktails, the Dreamsicle. The secret's in the bottle. In 1902, my great-great-uncle Lee began producing flavored soft drinks on Main Street in Winchester, Kentucky. In 1926, he introduced Ale-8-One, a ginger and citrus soft drink, at the Clark County Fair. Four generations later, I still blend the secret recipe from his handwritten notes. Taking inspiration from Uncle Lee's innovative spirit, we combined his secret Ale-8-One recipe with vanilla and orange to recreate a smooth, nostalgic soda. Kentucky proud. Please recycle.
