Instructions: For initial use: 1. Remove and discard plastic tab from battery compartment. 2. Operation options: 4 hour timer option - move the switch to 4hr at the time you want your candle to come on each day. Your candle will glow for 4 hours then automatically go off, then the next day it will come on and go off at the exact same time you set it for. It is 4 hours on, 20 off. 8 hour timer option - move the switch to 8hr at the time you want your candle to come on each day. Your candle will glow for 8 hours then automatically go off, then the next day it will come on and go off at the exact same time you set it for. It is 8 hours on, 16 off. On/off option - use this option if you wish to turn your candle on and off manually. To replace batteries: 1. Remove screw from battery compartment lid. 2. Press the tab on the battery compartment lid inward and lift lid upward to remove. 3. Remove expired batteries and discard properly. 4. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. 5. Install 2-AAA batteries as shown on battery diagram in battery compartment. 6. Return battery compartment lid with screw to its original position. Care: 1. For indoor use only. 2. Turn off when not in use to save battery life. 3. Remove used batteries promptly.

Warnings

Battery warning:
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) and rechargeable batteries (nickel metal hydride).
Do not mix old and new batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the item before being charged (if removable).
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable). Exhausted batteries should be removed immediately and must be recycled or disposed of properly according to state or local government ordinances and regulations.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
Do not dispose batteries in a fire - batteries may leak or explode.
