You Will Need: 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, margarine or spread, melted*, + 1 Egg. *If using spread, use one that has more than 65% vegetable oil. 1. Heat oven to 350F shiny metal or glass pan or 325F for dark or nonstick pan. Grease bottom of pan with cooking spray or shortening. 2. Stir Bar Mix, melted butter and egg in medium bowl until dough forms (dough will be stiff). Press dough evenly into pan. 3. Bake as directed below or until edges are set. Cool completely; store tightly covered. For 8" x 8" pan bake 26-29 min. For 9" x 9" pan bake 23-26 min. For 11" x 7" pan bake 25-28 min. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Stir 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour into dry bar mix. Bake 8" x 8" 28-31 min., 9" x 9" 25-28 min., 11" x 7" 27-30 min. Betty's Tips: Frost bars with Betty Crocker(r) Cream Cheese Frosting. Sprinkle frosting with 1/4 cup chopped walnuts.
