In-Ground: Shake evenly onto the soil. Mix into the top 1-3 inch of soil, then water to start the feeding process; on 25 sq ft area use 3/4 - 1 cup. In Containers: Apply 2 tbsp of nutrition for every 1 gal. of container volume. Mix into the soil at the time of planting. For established plants, shake evenly onto the soil and lightly work it in. Water to start the feeding process. Pot diameter (container volume): 4 inch (-0.25 gal container) use 1/2 tbsp; 6 inch (-0.5 gal container) use 1 tbsp; 8 inch (-1 gal container) use 2 tbsp; 10 inch (-2 gal container) use 4 tbsp; 12 inch (-3 gal container) use 6 tbsp. For tomatoes, petunias, and other heavy feeders, use the higher rate listed for in-ground. When planting seed, wait 2 weeks to feed young plants.
