For best results, please follow these usage instructions: Use within one year of purchase. Store in pantry or cool, dry place away from excessive heat. Do not fill bag entirely with wet grass clippings. Do not use rubber bands or wire to tie-off bags. Separate BioBag carefully along perforation. Force may cause the bag to rip. Place filled bags on cement or pavement for collection. Placing filled bags on wet grass may stimulate bag decomposition. Environmental tip: using a mulching mower will create grass clippings that will biodegrade quickly and add nutrient value to your soil.

This certification assures that BioBag products meet the specifications found in ASTM D6400 and will compost rapidly and safely when placed in a municipal or commercial composting facility like The City of Houston's. Each year tons of leaves, grass clippings and small branches are needlessly tossed into landfills. The recycling of your yard trimmings is easy to do and good for our environment. Compostable bags allow for more efficient collection and they break down quickly leaving no harmful residue behind. Remember, only place yard trimmings in City of Houston-approved compostable bags and place at the curb on your scheduled collection day. Only organic material (i.e., leaves, grass clippings and small branches) should be placed in the compostable bag, and do not use metal, plastic or foreign ties to seal the bag. Please keep in mind that the compostable bags begin to "break down" as soon as material is placed into them so be sure to get them to the curb within a week.
